In order to attract the attention of the media for the European Athletics U23 Championships in Erfurt
(14-17 July 2005) a first Press Conference will be held on Tuesday, 15 March at 15:00 h in the town-hall
of Erfurt.
Erfurt’s Lord Mayor, Manfred Ruge and Ralf Hafermann, President of the Athletic Federation of Thuringia as
well as DLV Event Manager Siegfried Schonert will describe the preparation status of the event. Dietmar
Chounard, National Head Coach for this age group, will give a forecast on the chances of the German team.
The press conference will be presented by DLV Media Director Peter Schmitt.
Double European Junior Champion Sophie Krauel, who is expected to be also one of the promising
participants in the championships will speak about her expectations and her current performance level.(tp)
